Leading into the ODESZA Finale, I broached ODESZA about doing an interview that would be broken up into a video series for socials. ODESZA rarely do interviews, especially long-form, and they don’t speak directly to the camera for video content. What was meant to be a few short-form clips turned into a 45-minute published video interview.

Labyrinth Mix Vol. 1 by Kasbo

Kasbo is known for his mixes and with a new album on the horizon, the team came up with the idea to do a new mix series with unreleased tracks sprinkled throughout. To kick off the series, we shot a sunrise video on the High Steel Bridge in Washington, the tallest bridge in the state. There was a camera on the CDJ’s, a Ronin 4D cinema camera, and two drones. Bringing an audio setup to the middle of the woods, hundreds of feet in the air, while logging trucks were rolling through was challenging, but the result was beautiful.

The Last Goodbye Music Video
2022
The Last Goodbye was ODESZA’s first single back after a 4-year break between releases. This was the first music video set that I was on, and it was a one-of-a-kind learning experience. With two sets, four musicians, a full lighting and video package, and top-tier directors, producers, and videographers, I learned how a top-tier production team operates. I was in an assistant role in this one, but it gave me the confidence to approach larger-scale video productions with more certainty for everything that goes into it.
